Karri Ramo made 18 saves for Calgary. Cory Schneider stopped 27 shots for New Jersey. Penguins 4, Wild 3: Evgeni Malkin scored two goals and produced two assists to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins past the Minnesota Wild 4-3. The Penguins also got goals from David Perron and Beau Bennett. Minnesota got goals from Mikael Granlund, Mikko Koivu and Jared Spurgeon. Maple Leafs 5, Avalanche 1: Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau scored two power-play goals to lead Toronto over Colorado. Tyler Bozak added a power-play goal and two assists, Leo Komarov scored short-handed and James van Riemsdyk also scored a power-play goal for the Maple Leafs. Peter Holland added three assists. Defenseman Erik Johnson scored for the Avalanche. Blue Jackets 3, Blues 1: Brandon Saad scoredt twice while Cody Goloubef scored his first goal in almost two years to help Columbus beat St. Louis. The Blue Jackets improved to 7-5-0 under coach John Tortorella. They were 0-7-0 when Tortorella who took over on Oct. 21. Sergei Bobrovsky made 19 saves for his seventh win, with only a Kevin Shattenkirk shot beating him. Brian Elliott finished with 35 saves in the loss, 20 of them in the second period. Stars 3, Sabres 1: Jason Spezza scored 7:35 into the third period to lead Dallas to a 3-1 win over Buffalo. Valeri Nichushkin and Tyler Seguin also scored for the Stars and Antti Niemi made 24 saves. Sharks 5, Bruins 4: San Jose slammed three goals past Tuukka Rask in a 3:25 span of the second period and then held on for a victory over Boston. Melker Karlsson, Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton Joe Pavelski and Joonas Donskoi all scored for the Sharks while Tyler Randell, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and Loui Eriksson scored for the Bruins. Kings 3, Flyers 2 (SO): Los Angeles forced overtime with a goal in the final minute of regulation before beating Philadelphia in the shootout. Anze Kopitar was the only player to score in the shootout, while Milan Lucic knotted the score with 54 seconds remaining in regulation. Jamie McBain also scored for the Kings. Shayne Gostisbehere and Claude Giroux scored for the Flyers. Predators 3, Ducks 2: Anaheim controlled play, but Pekka Rinne made 38 saves to ensure Nashville beat Anaheim.
