Published in The Saudi Gazette on 09 - 11 - 2015

The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) has announced its presence at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) for the sixth consecutive year showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for oil and gas operations. With an increased focus on optimization of oil and gas operations for its customers Dow will be providing its expertise as a global chemical leader to formulate solutions that will help optimize supply improve efficiencies and manage emissions.
The four-day ADIPEC will kick off today (Nov. 9) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The recent volatility in the global energy market and the effects of the declining oil prices have prompted oil operators who are faced with budget constraints to seek new more efficient techniques that will maximize resources deployed in the recovery process. Through the unique merger of chemistry and engineering experience Dow's advanced innovations and exceptional service helps customers achieve more efficient flow control contaminants and enhance all phases of an asset's performance across the oil and gas value chain.
Some of the innovations to be highlighted at ADIPEC this year will include: Upstream and Downstream solutions; Water Treatment Biocides Reverse Osmosis Membranes Insulation systems and Heat Transfer Fluids.
"It is an interesting time for the energy industry as we witness an unpredictable oil economy and the increasing interest in developing renewable energy sources in the region. Industry players are increasingly feeling the pressure to optimize operations to preserve their margins and ensure continued business growth" said Adriano Gentilucci Commercial Director - IMEA Dow Oil Gas & Mining. "At Dow we have a unique integrated portfolio for upstream operations which include oilfield chemicals water treatment and microbial control thus allowing us to provide comprehensive solutions to the regional oil and gas sector."
Particularly in upstream Dow will demonstrate an integrated portfolio of chemistry technologies that help in the effective management of oilfield water. With a broad range of ion exchange resins reverse osmosis membranes ultra-filtration membranes and electrode-ionization products Dow spearheads the development of sustainable technologies that integrate water and energy requirements to help oil and gas customers optimize all phases of their water usage.
