Unbeaten Juventus returned to the top of the Italian league with a 2-0 victory over struggling Novara Sunday. Simone Pepe gave Juventus the best start when he scored in the fourth minute but the result flattered Juventus with veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon pulling off a string of impressive saves. Fabio Quagliarella secured the Serie A win 15 minutes from time. Juventus is two points clear of AC Milan. Inter Milan's revival gathered pace as Andrea Ranocchia helped it win 1-0 at struggling Cesena. Inter's fifth win in six games moves it up to fifth spot — 10 points behind Juventus. Novara is two points clear of rock bottom Lecce, which let slip a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 at Parma. AC Milan had tentatively gone a point clear Saturday after Antonio Nocerino and a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty gave the champion a hard-earned 2-0 win over lowly Siena at the San Siro. In Florence, an acrobatic strike two minutes from time from Stevan Jovetic earned Fiorentina a 2-2 draw against Atalanta. Italy striker Alberto Gilardino gave the hosts the lead on nine minutes, skilfully volleying home Juan Vargas's centre for only his second goal of the season. But just as it looked as though Fiorentina would bank a much-needed three points, midfielder Andrea Masiello fired home a 25-meter equalizer on 81 minutes before Argentina striker German Denis struck a typical poacher's goal at the back post to give Atalanta the lead with four minutes to go. Montenegrin striker Jovetic saved new coach Delio Rossi's blushes on 88 minutes, volleying in superbly. Earlier, goals either side of halftime from Cyril Thereau and Gennaro Sardo helped Chievo Verona to a comfortable 2-0 home win over Cagliari.
