The latest album by Lebanese singer Mariam Fares “Min Uyouni” (From my eyes) has witnessed tremendous success. The album has proven to be more successful in terms of record sales than the album recently released by Egyptian superstar Amro Diab. According to record stores, Mariam's album is bringing in more profits than Amro's album and she is currently on top of most music charts. Mariam stated that she is very happy and proud that her album was able to witness such success. Mariam stated that the album “Min Uyouni”, which is sung in the Gulf (Khaliji) dialect has proven that she is able to master the Gulf dialect and this fact has one her significant popularity around the Gulf countries. According to the internet website MBC.net, Mariam stated that she is surprised that until this point she has not been nominated for any music award despite the ongoing success she has been achieving around the Arab world. She added that at one point she was offered to buy an award, but she had refused the matter completely.
