Seven teachers and four students in the Qur'an memorization schools in Dhahran Al-Janoub have caught tuberculosis. The revelation came to light in the school's reports. The 11 infected caught the disease shortly after it was discovered that the director of the school had the disease. A spokesman said: “The doctor in the school unit recommended extending the director's sick leave and he has been suspended from work as of the end of last month.” The Education Administration in Asir region is investigating how the disease spread from the director to the teachers and students. TB (Pulmonary tuberculosis) is a bacterial infection that attacks the lungs, before spreading to other organs and can be lethal. __
