Saudi Arabia's stock benchmark Tadawul All Share Index bucked the regional trend and ended lower Tuesday, losing 0.11 percent to 6,111.86 points. Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC) weighed, slipping 0.3 percent while Sipchem fell 0.5 percent. UAE markets got a late boost and ended higher. Emaar Properties ended 2.7 percent higher and telecoms operator du added 0.4 percent. Dubai's index advanced 0.2 percent to 1,370 points. Abu Dhabi's measure ended 0.5 percent higher at 2,436 points, lifted by banks. National Bank of Abu Dhabi rose 2 percent and First Gulf Bank added 2.4 percent. Most Gulf bourses ended higher. Kuwait's index gained 0.3 percent to 5,800 points, while Qatar's benchmark rose 0.2 percent to 8,602 points. Bahrain's market ended lower, slipping 0.3 percent to 1,155 points. Wall Street rallied. The Dow Jones industrial average was up 57.07 points, or 0.50 percent, at 11,580.08. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 4.56 points, or 0.38 percent, at 1,197.11 while Nasdaq Composite Index was down 7.20 points, or 0.28 percent, at 2,520.14.
