A rare fusion of German classical music, Jazz and Arabic music was witnessed by music aficionados at Italian cultural Club here Tuesday. Organized by the German consulate, the unique concert provided the musicians an opportunity to create an entirely new form of music. German musicians Johannes Tonio Kreusch and Cornelius Claudio Kreusch two of Germany's finest artists at the guitar and the piano enthralled the audience with their counterparts Bandar Khalid Al-Shareef, qanun player, Makram Ahmed Bishar, flute player and vocalist and Oud (Arabic guitar) player Matab Ali Al-Amir played Songs of Gulf and Khaleej. In their music, the brothers combined the European legacy of classical music and contemporary jazz. On stage they met musicians from all over Arabia and played strokes of international music with the combination of Arabic classical music. Dr. Rolf Theodor Schuster, the German Consul General welcomed the guests and said such type of cultural events will bring the people of the two countries close to each other and will help in understanding the cultural values of both the countries. The classically-trained pianist Cornelius Claudio has performed at some of the most prestigious venues & music festivals. Johannes Tonio Kreusch performed in Europe, Latin America,USA and the Middle East. His interest lies in avant-garde music, which reflects in his own compositions. __
