In line with the directives of Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, the Civil Status Administration will issue new national identity documents which will enable Saudi citizens to speed up their paperwork at the ministry. Citizens have been asked to apply for the new IDs according to the following criteria: IDs which will expire in 1435H or 1436H will be declared invalid at the end of Jumada II, 1433H and can be replaced from Muharram 1, 1433H. Those IDs which will expire in 1437H or 1438H will be invalid on Dhul Hijjah 29, 1433H and can be replaced from Rajab 1, 1433H; while those expiring in 1439H, 1440H and 1441H, can be processed from Muharram 1, 1434H.
