Lingerie outlets have agreed to the demands of the “Enough Embarrassment” campaign to employ female staff. The campaigners argue that only female staff should sell women's clothing. The outlets have agreed to train women so that they are ready to work when new legislation comes into effect on Jan. 4, 2012 (Safar 10, 1433H). On Tuesday, the “Enough Embarrassment” campaign announced: “In a preemptive move, we have formed an alliance with international companies to train nearly 300 women not only in selling lingerie, but also cosmetics, perfumes and women's accessories.” The statement said: “This is despite the Ministry of Labor stalling the new regulations, as the deadline for feminizing lingerie shops is Nov. 26 as stipulated by King Abdullah's order.” In June, the King issued a decree banning men from working in lingerie shops to end the embarrassment suffered by women. __
