STC will deploy 5,000 of its employees in Makkah and the holy sites for this year's Haj, according to a statement released by the company. It will also for the first time provide 4G services for its subscribers. The company said that Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region and Chairman of the Central Haj Committee, praised the company's work at a gathering Saturday. It said its 4G services will provide unprecedented Internet, broadband and mobile services for Haj pilgrims and public and private enterprises. STC executives briefed Prince Khaled about the company's mobile and landline services, which will cover all the Mashair Train stations, the Grand Mosque, Mina's Tent City and the Jamarat. The emir was also briefed on the company's maintenance and emergency plans for Haj.
