An expatriate woman has refused to leave the country on the grounds that she had not been paid all of her remuneration. Passengers at Abha Airport witnessed an angry scene Sunday when the Asian housemaid would not board her flight home. A source said that a citizen brought his housemaid to the airport and completed the final-exit visa procedures so that she could return to her country then he left the airport. However, the housemaid refused to get on the airplane and made a scene at the airport lounge. Authorities quickly called her sponsor but he refused to pick her up insisting that he had already finished all procedures of her final-exit visa. The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice took the housemaid to the police station to investigate her refusal to board the airplane. The housemaid told police that her sponsor still owed her some money. However, her employer denied this and claimed the woman signed papers confirming that she had no case against him. He said the final-exit visa is only granted if the housemaid signs a statement that she has received all her financial entitlements. __
