The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rabeah, announced Monday that the health conditions of pilgrims are satisfactory and that no epidemic diseases have been found. In a meeting with the Preparatory Haj Committee of the Ministry of Health, he said that Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Haj Supreme Committee, has issued his directives for the cooperation of all sectors participating in Haj with the Ministry of Health to provide the best health services to pilgrims. Dr. Al-Rabeah disclosed that the ministry has recruited more than 20,000 people from various medical, technical, and administrative categories for the Haj season this year. He said the manpower from the Kingdom and abroad stood at 441 people in rare medical disciplines including intensive care and treatment as well as intensive nursing care and emergencies. Dr. Al-Rabeah noted that the ministry has modernized its medical and non-medical equipment at cost of SR50 million.
