Saudi Gazette The Dawah and Guidance Center in Jeddah has organized a three-day trip to Makkah and Madina for 30 expatriates who recently accepted Islam. The Dawah Center will cover all their travel expenses and the trip will include Umrah and a visit to the Prophet's Mosque. Islamic lectures in different languages and a host of other educational and entertaining activities are also planned to make this trip memorable for them. Captain Badr Al-Alyan, Director of the Dawah Center in Al-Hamra who is also a pilot, said, “Group trips, such as these, bridge the gaps between the local and expat communities. It builds relationships and fosters understanding across the different cultures in our society.” Umrah trips are being organized since many years, for both men and women who embrace Islam. This year, 592 Asian and European expatriates living in the Kingdom pronounced the Shahada and accepted Islam at the Dawah Center in Jeddah. The center offers Islamic courses, hosts open dialogue meetings for members of the community from different nationalities, and has distributed over 45,000 pamphlets to increase awareness of Islam in the society . __
