A record number of 700 exhibitors from 34 countries have confirmed participation in the Saudi Build 2011, a leading construction show, which Prince Mansour Bin Mit'eb, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, will inaugurate Sunday at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibitions Center. Mohammad Al-Hussaini, Deputy General Manager of Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC), which is organizing the exhibition, said the confirmation of 700 exhibitors from 34 countries is an indication that key international players in the construction industry are closely monitoring the growing trends in the Saudi construction market. Besides the individual participation of companies from 34 countries, the four-day event will also have 14 national pavilions set up by various countries, he said. “The global construction industry is closely monitoring the GCC, especially Saudi Arabia, in light of the boom in infrastructure development across the country,” said Al-Hussaini. He said Saudi Arabia offers lucrative business opportunities for contractors and international suppliers who are now eager to gain market exposure through Saudi Build 2011 and Saudi Stone-Tech 2011. The upcoming exhibitions will provide contractors, real estate developers and building owners with a full range of building solutions from renowned international brands and suppliers, he said. “With the global interest Saudi Build 2011 has generated, the event will certainly prove to be the largest business-to-business construction event in the Kingdom,” said Al-Hussaini. Saudi Build 2011, the 23rd International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition, will concurrently run with Saudi Stone-Tech, the 14th International Stone and Stone Technology Show. The exhibition will also concurrently host the “Saudi Arabia Conference on Sustainable Building Materials” on October 17. Saudi Build 2011 will provide a dedicated platform to showcase the latest offerings in building materials and equipment, architectural finishing products, stone, marble and granite products, construction tools and technology, engineering services, infrastructure materials, security and safety systems, among others. Saudi Stone-Tech will cater to evolving requirements and changing trends in stone technology products, machinery and services. Saudi Build 2011 expects thousands of industry-related visitors, including high-profile business leaders from the Kingdom and around the world, diplomats and high-ranking Saudi government officials. __
