Prominent Egyptian composer Hilmi Bakr revealed that he finally made peace with Syrian singer Asalah Nasri, after recurring disputes that lasted for many years. The disputes between Hilmi and Asalah had begun after he divorced the singer's cousin. Hilmi stated that he and Asalah overcame their differences after an intervention by Asalah's husband Egyptian director Tariq Al-Aryan and Tunisian singer Saber Al Ribaee. Tariq and Saber had made a phone call to Hilmi asking him to forget the past and open a new slate with Asalah, who joined in the phone conversation and stated that she wants to put the past behind them and start new. After the two made amends, Hilmi agreed to be a guest on Asalah's new television show “Sula” and had recorded a three hour session that will be shown in two episodes. In the session, Saber and Lebanese singer Saed Ramadan are also present. Hilmi's condition to appear on Asalah's show was that he not be requested to give an apology to Asalah or talk about the disputes that had lasted for so many years. Hilmi and Asalah's peace brings an end to one of the most popular disputes that had ever occurred in the entertainment world. The episodes of Hilmi will be aired starting on October 20th on the satellite television channel Dubai TV.
