Saudi embassy in New Delhi will issue multiple entry-exit visas to Indian businessmen within a day to promote two-way trade, the Kingdom's acting Ambassador to India Saghr Sulaiman H Al-Qureshi was quoted as saying, Sunday. Qureshi, who is visiting Hyderabad as part of his south-India tour to study the problems faced by private Haj operators, said that the visa will be valid for one complete year. “The Saudi government is providing all facilities to Indian businessmen. This is our new initiative,” Al-Qureshi was quoted as saying by The Times of India. He also announced that Saudi Arabia will soon be opening consulates in the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Allaying apprehensions about the Nitaqat system, he said there is no danger to the employment of expatriates if they have the right category of visa and right companies to work with. Currently 2.5 million Indians are working in Saudi Arabia and they play an important role in the development of the country. “There would be no impact on the Indian workforce. In fact there is a huge demand for professionals from India in all fields,” he said.
