Polish Business Council started Sunday a week-long meeting in the Polish capital of Warsaw, focusing on means of promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The meeting will examine the achievements of new partnerships and the activation of previous bilateral agreements. The President of the Saudi-Polish Business Council Dr. Yasser Bin Muhammad Al-Harbi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the Council will consider at its second session, which coincide with the convening of the Joint Saudi-Polish Committee in Warsaw, activation of the agreements signed between the two sides at the level of the business council and the government between the two countries and invitation of the Polish side to intensify Polish businessmen's visits to the Kingdom and hold more specialized exhibitions in both countries to display Polish and Saudi Arabian products. Dr. Al-Harbi stressed the possibility of achieving progress in the field of current trade in view of the investment opportunities in the two countries, pointing to the possibility during the coming period of doubling the annual trade volume which is about $400 million if cooperation between businessmen in both countries is intensified and cooperation opportunities are explored. Dr. Al-Harbi considered the Polish market as a promising and attractive one for Saudi investors, as the case is with the Saudi market, which enjoys the great market size and the multiplicity of investment opportunities. He highlighted areas of cooperation for businessmen in the two countries including the food industry, import and export of agricultural products, tourism in general, medical tourism in particular and cooperation in the fields of medicine, construction, engineering industries and medium and light industries.
