Darb Governorate, supported by security forces from Jizan region, are continuing their search for Yahya Al-Nashiri, a 14-year-old Al-Darb resident who was kidnapped last week. A philanthropist has set a reward of SR50,000 for anyone providing information leading to the abducted youth. The philanthropist has requested anonymity, local residents claimed. Maj. Gen. Jameel Al-Rehaili, Director of the Jizan region's police, said Al-Darb Police are supported by a large number of officers and privates who are working hard to comb valleys and mountains near the governorate, as per directives of Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser, Emir of Jizan region. Maj. Gen. Al-Rehaili hoped that security personnel would resolve the issue in the next few days. He said 420 unidentified people of different nationalities, including 75 from an African country, have been arrested are being investigated to obtain information to help officials find Al-Nashiri. Search teams have been formed in the area and undercover security patrols have been deployed at some suspicious locations; the patrols work in shifts to cover those locations around-the-clock, Maj. Gen. Al-Rehaili said. Security men are also continuing to search for the abducted youth in rugged areas, he said. Residents of Al-Darb Governorate are also searching various locations, he added. The abducted youth's family received a telephone call last Tuesday from unidentified men claiming that they were holding Al-Nashiri and demanded a ransom of SR80,000, which they later lowered to SR75,000. There have been no calls from the kidnappers since last Thursday. __
