As of now, 14 insurance companies are fully licensed to operate in the Kingdom, 10 of which have foreign participation. Wiqaya Company for Cooperative Insurance and Re-insurance, Al-Rajhi Company for Cooperative Insurance and AXA Gulf Cooperative Insurance were licensed by the Council of Ministers this week. In addition, 7 insurance companies have obtained the approval from the Council of Ministers and 5 are under the process of licensing at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. __
