Machiavellian tricks terrorists usually use
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 09 - 2011

Those who are supporting terrorism have no valid reason to defend themselves but to resort to twisted ways like denial and raising controversial but false allegations that no sane person can believe, especially those who are aware of the way terrorists and extremists think.
This particular group is more or less influenced by the Machiavellian thinking that the end justifies the means. The word Machiavellian has became a pejorative term often associated with someone who aims to deceive and manipulate others in achieving his goal or purpose.
Terrorists and their supporters will do everything possible to achieve their purpose. They try to mislead others to act on their behalf and thus relieve themselves of any responsibility for the act.
Those who know their mentality can easily discern the odd and superficial arguments they use to justify the killings and destruction they cause in society. They kill innocent people in cold blood, despite their claim that they are advocates of fidelity and righteousness.
One could only wonder what fidelity and what kind of Islam they are talking about. Islam advocates moderation, tolerance and flexibility.
Given this background, it is easy to understand the allegations of Haila Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Qaseer , the first Saudi woman to be tried on terrorist charges, including membership in Al-Qadea and providing safe havens to a terrorist organization. She was also accused of collecting a large amount of money for the terrorist group, aside from jewelry, gold and communications equipment.
She allegedly said that she had collected one million riyals to provide assistance to the orphans, widows and needy people in Yemen and Afghanistan. When the prosecutor asked why she provided help the needy people in the two countries instead of those in the Kingdom, she allegedly said she did it under the influence of her two late husbands who had connections with Al-Qaeda.
Her excuses and arguments are sterotyped tricks and wild claims usually resorted to by terrorists that no one can believe except themselves. __
