Wandy Rodriguez won his 11th game and Carlos Corporan drove in three runs in the Houston Astros' 9-3 victory over the Washington Nationals Saturday night. Carlos Lee also had a double, single and an RBI, and Jason Bourgeois had three hits and an RBI for the Astros, who had six consecutive hits in a six-run third inning. Lee has now driven in at least 80 runs for the 13th straight season, second only to Alex Rodriguez among active players. The Astros' six runs and seven hits in the third inning both tied the team's single-inning highs this season. Rodriguez (11-10) went six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out seven. Rodriguez is the only Astros' starter with a winning record. Cubs 5, Mets 4: Aramis Ramirez hit a two-run single with two outs in the ninth inning, rallying the Chicago Cubs past the New York Mets after blowing a three-run lead in the eighth. Jason Bay had given the Mets a 4-3 lead in the eighth with a two-out, two-run single. But some more sloppy play by New York in the ninth and another meltdown by Bobby Parnell (3-6) helped the Cubs even a three-game series that was to culminate with a ceremony Sunday to mark the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Rockies 12, Reds 7: Jordan Pacheco's first home run broke a fifth-inning tie and he added a two-run single in the eighth to lift the Colorado Rockies to a victory over the Cincinnati Reds. The teams combined for nine home runs in the first five innings. Marlins 3, Pirates 0: Anibal Sanchez pitched a one-hitter and tied his career high with 11 strikeouts to win for just the second time in his last 16 starts as the Florida Marlins blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates. Phillies 3, Brewers 2: Raul Ibanez doubled and scored on LaTroy Hawkins' throwing error in the 10th, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers for their sixth straight win. Cardinals 4, Braves 3: Lance Berkman had a single, RBI double and walk — reaching base seven straight times over two games — and the St. Louis Cardinals inched closer in the NL wild card race with a victory over the Atlanta Braves. Elsewhere it was: Arizona 6, San Diego 5 (10 innings); LA Dodgers 3, Seattle 2.
