About 52,000 new male and female teachers and those holding administrative positions are expected to get their first salary on Sept. 23, according to sources. They said the Ministry of Education has begun completing preparation of salary statements for the 52,000 citizens employed by the ministry in line with a Royal Decree. Sources said the Administrative and Financial Department of the ministry will, in the next few days, send the names of the teachers to the Ministry of Finance to approve and pay salaries. This procedure comes in line with the implementation plan approved by the Ministry of Education to fill 52,000 positions effective the beginning of the school year 1432/33H (2011-12), sources added. University and college graduates will fill teaching and administrative positions at public schools, kindergartens and the administration departments of schools, sources said. Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad, Minister of Education, directed pertinent authorities to expedite the process of implementing the required procedures following the approval of the job positions by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Civil Service. Sources expected that the salary of newly-appointed teachers will be paid retroactively after the month of Shawwal due to the delay in sending the names of teachers to the departments of education. The Ministry of Civil Service has finally begun nominating citizens who will be teachers and has approved final arrangements for speeding up the process of filling the new positions. The levels and ranks of teachers' salaries and the names of schools have been agreed upon by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. They are as follows: 21,000 teaching positions for women, 7,000 kindergarten teaching positions, 11,000 administrative positions for women, 7,000 teaching positions for men and 6,000 administrative positions for men. __
