The Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP) has investigated a number of businessmen, some of who held positions at the Jeddah Mayoralty, in connection with Jeddah floods, according to a report in Asharq Alawsat. According to the sources, the businessmen were charged with financial and administrative violations connected with plots of land and projects that caused the catastrophe during Jeddah floods. Over 130 people died and thousands of vehicles and residences sustained irreparable damage. Lawyers are studying the cases of the accused. The court will issue a legal document that contains the accusations before setting a date for trial.
