The Ministry of Civil Service has asked 10,636 Saudi holders of pre-university diplomas to visit its branches, beginning Saturday in preparation for employing them in a number of state institutions. Officials said each applicant need to bring the application number provided by the Ministry of Civil Service's website, his national identity card, original diploma and a valid vocational-classification certificate from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialization. The deadline for submitting the required documents is Sept. 22. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education is working to upgrade to full-time status the services of some 74,000 male and female teachers, employees and lower-level workers, sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. The ministry and its administrations have received about 147,000 applications for consideration. The applications are being processed around-the-clock, the sources added. Once the status of 74,000 employees have been regularized, the requests of another batch of 78,000 workers will be taken up for consideration, they said. All the applicants' data and information has been entered in the Ministry of Civil Service's website, which was updated to expedite procedures and provide applicants with full-time status no later than Sept. 28, according to the sources. __
