Shaun Marcum allowed his only hit with one out in the sixth inning, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Houston Astros 4-0 Sunday for a three-game series sweep. Ryan Braun homered among his three hits and drove in two runs for Milwaukee. Marcum (12-5) pitched seven stellar innings, allowing a single to center field to Jordan Schafer and two other base runners. He struck out eight and walked one. Marcum has not allowed an earned run in his last two starts, a span of 14 innings and he's allowed four earned runs in his last five starts. After Schafer's hit, Marcum retired the next five batters to complete his day. Francisco Rodriguez and Takashi Saito each allowed a hit in one inning of relief to finish the three-hitter. Marlins 5, Phillies 4: Mike Cameron drove in the winning run with a two-out, bases-loaded walk in the 14th inning, and the Florida Marlins benefited from an overturned ruling after a video review to beat the Philadelphia Phillies. Hunter Pence was ruled out on fan interference in the sixth inning after initially being awarded a double, and the ruling change may have cost the Phillies two runs. They played the game under protest. Braves 4, Dodgers 3: Martin Prado hit a game-ending RBI single in the ninth inning and the Atlanta Braves snapped the Los Angeles Dodgers' six-game winning streak. The Braves avoided getting swept in a three-game series for the first time this season. Mets 6, Nationals 3: Willie Harris had a pinch-hit two-run single, highlighting a four-run rally in the sixth inning that lifted the New York Mets a win over the Nationals and spoiled what was likely Livan Hernandez's final game with Washington. Hernandez, who started the Nationals home opener in 2005, made his final start of this season, and though he's indicated a willingness to return as a reliever, the team hasn't indicated that it would want him back. Reds 3, Cardinals 2: Juan Francisco capped a career-best four-hit day with the go-ahead hit in the 10th inning and the Cincinnati Reds beat the St. Louis Cardinals, taking two of three from a team desperately trying to stay in contention. Cubs 6, Pirates 3: Randy Wells pitched six strong innings and Marlon Byrd drove in two runs as the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates to avoid a three-game sweep. Padres 7, Rockies 2: Jeremy Hermida and Will Venable drove in three runs apiece, and the San Diego Padres beat the Colorado Rockies to snap a nine-game losing streak. Diamondbacks 4, Giants 1: Willie Bloomquist hit a go-ahead two-run triple after Ryan Roberts' solo homer tied it in the eighth, and the NL West-leading Arizona Diamondbacks extended their division cushion to a season-best seven games with a win over the San Francisco Giants.
