The influence of women in espousing deviant thought has remained weak, according to Dr. Mohammad Bin Yahia Al-Najimi, member of the Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Interior. “They are few in number and it is obvious that their acts were forced on them,” he said. However, Al-Najimi cautioned: “Women can influence those around them and can be made to take part in terrorist attacks, as has happened in a number of neighboring countries.” He called on parents and families to monitor the behavior of females, the materials which they read and the Internet sites they visit, so as to prevent them from falling victim to terrorists. – Okaz __
