Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes Tuesday dismissed suggestions the Bavarian giant could swoop for want-away Manchester City star Carlos Tevez to replace injured Croatia striker Ivica Olic. Munich was to play FC Zurich Tuesday in the second-leg of its Champions League qualifier in Switzerland, holding a 2-0 lead from last Wednesday's first leg, but the German giant has just two fit strikers in its squad. Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has suggested it is interested in signing a new striker to cover Olic's hip injury, which is expected to keep the 31-year-old out for up to eight weeks. Bayern has Germany's Mario Gomez and rising star Nils Petersen as its fit forwards, while Germany attacking midfielder Thomas Mueller can play up front. The transfer window is set to close at midnight Aug. 31 and Bayern is weighing up its options.
