Up to 80 inventions from 22 Arab and foreign states have been accepted for taking part in the 4th International Invention Fair in the Middle East 2011, due to be held by the club on Nov. 21-24, under auspices of Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The secretary of the club, Yousef Al-Hamad, said at a news conference that the convention would be held to enhance spread of science and culture in the Arab world, and support the inventors. The exhibition will offer various awards to the winners: $15,000 as the award of the fair, the award of the patents bureau of the GCC, SR50,000, the Geneva Award for Inventors, $5,000, an award offered by Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science, KD 5,000, and the award of the World Intellectual Property Organization. The event is being sponsored by the Amir, who highly values sciences and innovations in Kuwait and in the Arab world.
