PAKISTAN's star actor Shaan, who played the character of Mansoor in the critically acclaimed Shoaib Mansoor film Khuda Kay Liye is set for a crossover to Bollywood. The movie, to be directed by Shoaib and produced by Precept Picture Company, will have a cross border star cast – there's talk that Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar have been approached. Shailendra Singh, who heads Precept has been cited as saying that having Shaan and any one of the three would do wonders for the film. “Shoaib is a genius in filmmaking; perhaps the Sanjay Leela Bhansali of Pakistan, and he wants brilliant performers in his film,” Singh said. Shoaib's last film Khuda Kay Liye about the difficulties that the Muslims face post 9/11 attacks in the United States, was a hit in Pakistan. The film delved into the internal tension between the fundamentalists and the liberal Muslims and showed how this was creating a conflict not only between the Western world and the Muslims, but also within the Muslim community itself.
