The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is considering the possibility of allowing Gulf airline companies to operate domestic flights, said Khaled Bin Abdullah Al-Khaibri, GACA spokesman. In a statement Khaibri said the issue is being studied. GACA wants to boost the local air transportation market in the public interest and help grow the economy. He denied press reports that GACA has already resolved not to allow Gulf airline companies to operate local flights.
