Princess Sultana Bint Turki Bin Ahmad Al-Sudairi, wife of Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh region, passed away on the eve of Ramadan due to a disease she was suffering from a long time. She was 71. Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minster of Interior, members of the Royal Family, and high-ranking officials of Riyadh and other regions, offered condolences to Prince Salman and his sons and attended the funeral prayer at Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque here on Tuesday afternoon. Prince Naif arrived in Riyadh from Jeddah at dawn to stand by the side of his brother, to pay and receive condolences for the death of the princess, who was also the daughter of his uncle Prince Turki Al-Ahmad Al-Sudairi. The late Princess Sultana was known all her life for her piety, faithfulness and fear of Allah in her private and public life, and for her philanthropy and compassion for orphans, widows and the poor. She helped those in need of medical treatment by giving them money or by bearing their treatment expenses and was always determined to keep her charitable spending confidential, because she only wanted the reward of Allah. The funeral prayer and the burial at Al-Oud Cemetery, on a hot afternoon with the temperature reaching 47 Celsius, were attended by more than 3,000 people including princes, scholars and citizens. The Grand Mufti held the hands of the late Princess's sons while she was being buried. She was buried a few meters away from her two late sons, Fahd and Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on them. __
