Now birth certificates issued are permanent

The Civil Status Department started Monday issuing permanent birth certificates for new born babies in accordance with its new executive regulation.
Earlier the department would only issue temporary birth certificates; Muhammad Al-Himyani, Director of the Civil Status Department in Taif, said his department has started implementing the order.
He said the department in Taif is implementing all articles of the new executive regulation, adding that permanent birth certificates were issued for babies born on Aug. 1. The babies' names have been added in the family register, he added. __
