HALAT AMMAR – With a 30-percent increase in the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from some Arab and Muslim countries, the Halat Ammar Border Post in Tabuk region has witnessed a flurry of activity. Recent directives from Prince Fahd Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Tabuk region and general supervisor of Haj and Umrah Works at Halat Ammar Border Post formed a road map for officials to double their efforts and be ready to receive Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan. The increased number of pilgrims is such that there is a need to raise the standard of performance, take all necessary precautions for receiving them, intensify transport administration efforts and boost patrols on the road linking Halat Ammar with Tabuk to ensure motorists obey speed limits, Prince Fahd has said. A number of Umrah pilgrims lauded the services provided by the Kingdom's government to Umrah and Haj pilgrims. Muhammad, Hassaan and Khairi, visiting from Jordan, said they were warmly received and their paperwork was processed quickly. Umm Hassan and Umm Ali, visitors from Egypt, expressed happiness over the development they saw in the pilgrims' city, which they said made the situation better than it was in previous years. They also praised officials for being swift and efficient in completing the entry procedures. __
