Violence, poverty, conflict, turmoil and the total chaos that is gripping the world should serve as a reminder for Muslims to contemplate on and appreciate Allah's blessings of stability, prosperity and peace of mind, the Kingdom's Grand Mufti said in the Friday sermon here. Speaking at Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque in Riyadh, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Aal Al-Sheikh said Muslims must pray to Allah for the safety of their brethren-in-faith who are going through great tribulations and seditions. He said the holy month of Ramadan is drawing near and the condition of some Muslims is pitiful. The Grand Mufti attributed the turmoil, poverty and chaos to lack of faith, shortsightedness and inability to envisage the effect of these great matters. He said the weakness of Muslims and the cooperation of some Muslims with their enemies against their own countries have led to a destruction of the countries and the bounties therein. “Hearts have become divided, ranks are disunited, people are living in bloodshed, and the inviolability of their lives, honor and properties has been violated. Poverty, lack of security, a weak economy and destruction of the infrastructure knows no limits,” he said. “They were unaware that they were lured and deceived into accepting evil, which was in the guise of good, so they embarked on a campaign of destruction – destroying their homes and countries with their own hands,” the Mufti said. “The images remind us of Allah's blessings on man and the condition of the poor and the victims in calamities.” “All the chaos makes it incumbent upon the believer to comprehend and appreciate the value of the security and stability Allah has granted him,” he added. __
