Brilliant colt Frankel kept his unbeaten record with a five-length hammering of arch-rival Canford Cliffs in the Group One Sussex Stakes over a mile at Goodwood Wednesday. Both horses had won big races at Royal Ascot last month, confirming their status at the top of world racing's elite but it was the three-year-old Frankel who prevailed. It was an eighth win from eight races for Frankel who earned a huge plaudit from the usually reserved Henry Cecil, a trainer for over 40 years who has handled hundreds of top-class animals.
