The Council of Ministers here Monday reviewed the Kingdom's achievements in foreign policies and domestic developments during the past years under the leadership of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Achievements in all regions of the Kingdom were based on balanced sustainable development through proper utilization of the allocations and budgetary surplus to modernize the infrastructure for municipal, rural, health, education, water, electricity, roads and services sector. During these years the Kingdom modernized education system, expanded education in universities, offered scholarships for students to study abroad, launched e-governance projects and established the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology to compete internationally. The government provided means of decent living to every segment of society by supporting the institutions which offer loans and increasing their allocations and programs. It also provided house projects for the poor and raised the allocations for social insurance programs. During these years investments continued to increase in energy, industrial, petrochemical, mining and tourism sectors. Haj and Umrah projects continued to get top priority. Meanwhile, the Cabinet asked every department responsible for major Haj services to prepare detailed plans in coordination with authorities concerned. Insurance licenses The Council of Ministers licensed three insurance companies namely Wiqaya Company for cooperative insurance and re-insurance, Al-Rajhi Company for cooperative insurance and Aksa Company for Cooperative Insurance as per the basic regulations. __
