Chile forward Alexis Sanchez says he has come to Barcelona “to learn from the best.” Barcelona's first major transfer of the offseason signed a five-year contract with the Spanish champion after passing a medical exam Monday. The 22-year-old says he wants to help Barca “do what it has been doing: win titles.” Sanchez recognizes it will be difficult to crack Barcelona's starting 11, saying “we all have to learn from Leo (Messi) and Xavi (Hernandez).” Last week Barcelona acquired Sanchez from Italian club Udinese for $37 million with bonuses that could add an extra $16.5 million to the deal. Barca hopes to also bring back Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas before the summer's end. Rangers to sign Goian Scottish champion Rangers is set to sign Romanian international defender Dorin Goian and he could possibly lineup in the Champions League qualifier against Malmo Tuesday. Rangers manager Ally McCoist said Goian was having a medical in Glasgow and could complete his move from Italian side Palermo to the Scottish champions later Monday. “He's in town and we are hopeful that the final bits and pieces can be settled and he can officially become a Rangers player,” McCoist said. McCoist is trying to determine whether the player definitely requires a work permit and whether clearance is likely to be granted in time for Goian to play against the Swedes. McCoist also confirmed that Rangers have rejected a bit from Qatar outfit Lekwhiya for central defender Madjid Bougherra.
