A leading Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer has designed computer games by completely deleting aspects that caused violent behavior among children.
Recent reports suggested that several parents expressed their concern at the negative impact video games available in Saudi market have on their wards. Besides, the existing computer games in Saudi market with provocative and objectionable contents are both expensive and portray criminal behavior in their characters.
Elekta Gulf on Monday launched ‘Funhom', video games designed to offer a solution to the concerned parents by removing all contents that lead to violent behavior among children.
The video game focuses on three aspects — education, sports and puzzle, a complete package for the whole family, said Eason, a Chinese official who was specially in the capital to launch the product.
“Funhom games launched in the Kingdom is not just computer entertainment but it also keeps the players (all members of the family) fully active because the device includes a floor mat and a hand-held console with which the players participate with mind and physical movements,” said Eason, Elekta's Sales Manager.
Saad Muhammad Qasim, company's general manager, said the Saudis would opt to stay at home in Ramadan because of the soaring temperature.
Funhom offers Saudi parents and children to stay active by playing computer games and do some exercise. The latest device introduced in the Kingdom would also address the growing problem of obesity and keep the entire members of the family physically fit and healthy, he said. “I started playing Funhom with my children and within a few days lost excess body weight,” said Qasim.
Niyas Mohammed, company's country head, said Elekta's computer games designed to relieve the parents with the negative impact that video games have on the development of children, especially contributing to aggressive and anti-social behavior.Negative effect on kids
