A passenger can get VIP treatment and quick check-in service at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah by paying SR300. A family of six can get these services for SR500 and a group of more than six passengers can pay a discounted rate of SR800, Mohammad Al-Gethemy, Supervisor in-charge of these services, told the Saudi Gazette Sunday. A Fast Track Services team will receive passengers at special counters in the check-in hall and the departure lounge, issue boarding cards, check-in luggage, stamp passports and accompany them to the departure gate. There are reserved areas for passengers opting for fast track services, where beverages and snacks are served for free. Passengers can also request comfortable wheelchairs with an attendant for an extra charge of SR100. “Families opting for VIP services will get the facility of special limousines at a total rate of SR1,500,” said Al-Gethemy. Passengers need to book the Fast Track Services at least two hours before a domestic flight at the South Terminal and three hours ahead of international flights at the North Terminal. Payment must be made in advance. The supervisor said that they are working to get licenses for six white Lincoln Towncars to serve VIP passengers. The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has licensed the Fast Track Services as part of its plan to provide excellent services for passengers, Khaled Al-Dekheel, spokesman of GACA, told the Saudi Gazette. The fast track services were launched in Jeddah officially a week ago. In the first week, some 30-40 requests were received for the services. “Currently, we are marketing this service with international companies,” said Ibrahim Hussain, manager of the service at the airport. A website will soon be launched for online bookings, he said. The service will be introduced at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh soon. Passengers can call a toll-free no: 920011233 for more info on the services. __
