France striker Djibril Cisse will sign for Lazio from Greek side Panathinaikos Tuesday, according to reports here Monday. Cisse will earn a reported 2.1 million euros a year, while Lazio will pay a fee of six million euros ($8.4 million), according to Italian news agency Ansa. The player, 29, who was the top scorer in the Greek top flight in each of his two seasons with Panathinaikos, becomes Lazio's seventh summer recruit. He is due to arrive in Rome Tuesday to undergo a medical before signing a four-year contract. Europa League hopefuls Lazio earlier agreed a deal with Lithuania defender Marius Stankevicius of Sampdoria. The club has already captured German striker Miroslav Klose (Bayern Munich), as well as Italian international goalkeeper Federico Marchetti (Cagliari), Albania midfielder Lorik Cana (Galatasaray), Bosnian full-back Senad Lulic (Young Boys Bern), and French-born full-back Abdoulay Konko (Genoa). Copenhagen signs Diouf Danish champion FC Copenhagen says it has signed a four-year contract with Senegal-born striker Pape Pate Diouf. Diouf is leaving Norwegian club Molde FK, where he scored 44 goals in 127 matches. The transfer sum was not announced. The Danish club says Diouf will begin training immediately. The season opens on July 23. Villarreal to sign Zapata Villarreal has agreed to sign Colombia defender Cristian Zapata from Serie A side Udinese on a five-year contract, the La Liga club said Tuesday. “Zapata will join up with Villarreal CF once the Copa America in Argentina has finished,” Villarreal said in a statement on its website. The 24-year-old spent six seasons with Udinese and could play in central defense or as a fullback, they added.
