Alahsa Development Co. earnings improve

Alahsa Development Company posted SR2.9 million net profit for Q2, compared to loss SR2.8 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Its netted SR4.8 million in the first previous quarter, a drop of 39.6 percent, the company said in a statement on Tadawul website.
Gross profit for Q2 is SR4.9 million, compared to SR318.9 thousand for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, representing an increase of 1436 percent.
Operating profit for Q2 is SR2.8 million, compared to operating loss SR1.5 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The net income for the six months is SR7.7 million compared to SR3.5 million for the same period of 2010, representing an increase of 120 percent. Earnings per share is SR0.16 for the first six months, compared to SR0.07 for the same period of the previous year. Gross profit for the six months is SR10.5 million compared to SR10.7 million for the same period of 2010.
The operating profit for the six months is SR6.5 million compared to SR6.3 million for the same period of 2010.
