The Ministry of Culture and Information will launch today the activities related to the selection of the Prophet's City as the Capital of Islamic Culture. The plans will be officially announced at a press conference to be held at the palace of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Majed Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Madina. The conference will be addressed by Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, in the presence of intellectuals and men of letters, according to a report published in Al-Riyadh. Several cultural organizations will take part in the event which focuses on the history of the Prophet's Mosque in the hearts of Muslims. The Islamic Organization for Education and Sciences has selected the Prophet's Mosque as the Capital for Islamic Culture this year.
