The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has signed an agreement with the Saudi Post Institution (SPI), to market sacrificial meat during Haj and other charities related to Haj and Umrah. The agreement aims to use electronic mode for providing sacrificial meat to the poor in the Kingdom and in different countries worldwide. “The service will be extended to Muslims living outside the Kingdom,” said Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Ali, president of IDB. “Many Islamic Societies outside the Kingdom are faced with obstacles to conduct the sacrifice rituals; with this agreement Muslims can enjoy all such ceremonies throughout the year,” Dr. Ali added. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Benten, president of Saudi Post Institution, said the Saudi Post will act as a marketing access for IDB which provides these services in the Kingdom through its 5,000 branches and its website. __
