About 600 students from different institutions in Jeddah participated in the academic scholarship contest. Effat College held its annual undergraduate scholarship and financial aid competition on Saturday at the college campus. The competition was open to all young female high school graduates. Competitors could benefit from full and partial scholarships (all nationalities), and The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah's Grants (for Saudis). One of the main objectives of the contest was to enhance and promote students' educational and academic achievement to serve the community positively and keep them abreast with modern scientific progress. Effat College also aims to select the vision of active leadership in the community and meet its standards of academic, social, personal, and professional excellence, said Amal Al-Rifai, media coordinator. Educated women can make strong links in the society, she said. __
