ARLINGTON, Texas: Brennan Boesch had two of Detroit's four home runs while setting career highs with five hits and five RBIs as the Tigers belted the Texas Rangers 13-7 in the American League Monday. Detroit starter Max Scherzer (7-2) pitched just long enough for his first win in nearly a month, when he won his sixth consecutive decision to open the season. He gave up eight hits in five innings. All of Detroit's homers came off Colby Lewis (5-6), who gave up nine runs in 3 1-3 innings only five days after pitching eight scoreless innings at Tampa Bay. Rays 5, Angels 1: In Anaheim, David Price took a shutout into the eighth inning, guiding Tampa Bay to victory over Los Angeles. Price (7-5) allowed one run in seven-plus innings, struck out seven and walked none. He struck out the side in the fifth. The Rays took a 2-0 lead in the first on Matt Joyce's sacrifice fly and Justin Ruggiano's RBI single. Ruggiano hit his second homer of the season to extend the Rays' lead to 4-0 and Joyce's RBI single in the seventh made it 5-0. Angels starter Tyler Chatwood (3-3) gave up five runs in seven innings. White Sox 3, Mariners 1: In Chicago, Paul Konerko homered to help Chicago down Seattle. In other games it was: Royals 3, Blue Jays 2, 11 innings; Twins 6, Indians 4; Orioles 4, Athletics 2. Brewers complete 4-game sweep Prince Fielder homered and drove in four runs to help the Milwaukee Brewers complete their first four-game sweep in three seasons, beating the Florida Marlins 7-2 in the National League Monday. Fielder hit a three-run homer, his 14th of the season, and added an RBI single. Ryan Braun had two hits and scored twice for the Brewers, who were 5 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Milwaukee starter Zack Greinke (5-1) allowed two runs in seven innings, winning his fifth consecutive decision and lowering his ERA to 4.83. The Marlins lost a season-worst fifth game in a row. The Brewers are 20-6 overall since May 9; the best record in the majors. Phillies 3, Dodgers 1: In Philadelphia, Cliff Lee hit double-digit strikeouts for the sixth time this season, fanning 10 in seven shutout innings to lead Philadelphia over Los Angeles. Lee (5-5) bounced back from one of his worst starts of the season with one of his best. He walked only one, while continuing to strike out batters at a career-best rate. He has 15 career games with double-digit strikeouts — six this season. Ryan Madson allowed a run in the ninth before finishing for his 13th save.
