LONDON: The Commonwealth Games Federation says Welsh boxer Sean McGoldrick has been awarded the gold medal stripped from Manju Wanniarachchi after the Sri Lankan's positive drugs test in Delhi. Wanniarachchi, who won the 56kg division in October, tested positive for banned anabolic agent 19-Norandrosterone, a metabolite of nandrolone. After Wanniarachchi's appeal period expired, the CGF announced his medal would be presented to McGoldrick Tuesday in Cardiff. The silver goes to Botswana's Tirafalo Seoko who lost to Wanniarachchi in the semifinals.
