AMMAN: The Jordanian government has completed all the necessary procedures to export Jordanian agricultural produce to Saudi Arabia in accordance with the “agreed upon mechanism” with authorities in the Gulf state, an agriculture ministry official said Thursday. With the joint efforts of the ministry and the Foodstuff Traders Association, farmers, traders and logistics providers are now ready to export fruits and vegetables to Saudi Arabia as per the requirements and conditions set by Saudi authorities, Mohammad Fawaeer, head of the crop and production unit at the ministry, said. “Not a single shipment of agricultural produce has yet been sent to Saudi Arabia,” he said, adding that “we have finalized all the requirements...”
