RIYADH: Seven Royal Decrees were issued Friday announcing new appointments and extensions to tenures in official posts. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Muhammad Al-Nassar is appointed Chairman of the Board of Grievances, replacing Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Shayi' Al-Huqail. Dr. Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Hamad Al-Saif is relieved of his duties as Director of Hail University to take up the position of Deputy Minister of Higher Education, replacing Dr. Ali Bin Solaiman Al-Atih. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Al-Dharrab is appointed Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission. General Salih Bin Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Muhayya, Chief of Staff, moves into retirement and is replaced by his deputy Hussein Bin Abdullah Bin Hussein Al-Qabeel, who now assumes the rank of General. Al-Qabeel's vacated position of Deputy Chief of Staff is taken by Lieutenant General and Commander of the Land Forces Abdul Rahman Bin Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Murshid. Major General Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Aal Saud is thereby promoted to Lieutenant General and Commander of the Land Forces. Extensions in their posts, each for four years, were announced for: Dr. Mohammed Ibn Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology; Abdul Aziz Bin Muhammad Al-Huqail, President of Saudi Railways Organization, and Dr. Zaid Bin Abdul Muhsin Al-Hussein, Vice President of the Human Rights Commission.
