Iceland's President Olafur Grimsson on Monday hailed the Kingdom's efforts to ensure the world's economic stability. He expressed happiness at the success of Jeddah Energy Meeting as well as King Abdullah's call to conduct dialogue among the followers of monotheistic religions. The president made these remarks during a meeting with Dr. Saleh Bin Humaid, President of the Saudi Shoura (Consultative) Council, and his accompanying delegation. President Olafur also praised bilateral relations between Iceland and Saudi Arabia and reiterated the keenness of his country to further boost cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields. Dr. Humaid said the Kingdom enjoys distinguished political and economic relations with Iceland. He lauded the efforts of Iceland to support the pillars of security and peace.
