Juffali Automotive Co., the exclusive dealer for Mercedes-Benz cars in Saudi Arabia, launched the three upgraded and improved Mercedes-Benz SLK, CLS, and SL models at their new showroom in Jeddah's Automall on Monday. The launch is in line with the new Mercedes-Benz Fascination campaign, said Safi Kobeissi, general manager of Juffali Automotive Co. Dynamic and appealing in design, the three new models are straight from the “Mercedes-Benz Dream Factory,” he said. “These three models have been market leaders in their segments in Saudi Arabia, and the subtle yet visible changes in them will strengthen our position in the minds of our customers and in the market,” Kobeissi added. The new-generation SL-Class features new design emphasizing sportiness and effortless handling. The two-seater model now delivers even more athletic performance thanks to the new direct-steer system as well as offering enhanced comfort and safety. The SL350 is powered by a newly developed, extremely high-revving sports engine boasting an impressive output of 232 kW/316 hp yet with a fuel consumption of only 0.4 liter per 100 kilometers, lower than that of its predecessor (NEDC). The SL range will now feature two six-cylinder models in the shape of the SL350 and the new SL 280 (170 kW/231 hp) as well as the familiar SL500 with a V8 engine and the top-of-the-range SL600 with a V12 powerplant. The Mercedes sports car extends its lead in safety courtesy of bi-xenon headlamps, included as standard, and the Intelligent Light System whose light functions are designed specifically for typical driving situations. Further new features on board include AIRSCARF neck-level heating. The SL model class is rounded off by two awesome AMG models, the SL63AMG with a 6.2 liter V8 engine producing 525hp and 630Nm of torque mated to an all new AMG Speed-shift MCT transmission and the SL65 AMG with a 6.0 liter V12 bi-turbo engine producing 612hp and 1000Nm of Torque. The SL63 is the first AMG car to feature the new MCT (Multi Clutch Technology) AMG Speedshift 7-Speed transmission. The unique, four-door CLS Coupé - which pioneered a new automotive segment - has also been made more attractive than ever by careful fine-tuning. The front aspect is dominated by a modified radiator grille, which now has two rather than the previous four louvres. The exterior mirrors also have a new shape, with integrated, arrow-shaped LED indicator repeaters and a mirror surface which is over 30 percent larger. __
